Hi! I'm Kona

Ever since I was about 6 years old, I've painted my nails. From following Simplynailogical on YouTube to hoarding my own nail polish collection over 300 polishes, I'd say I love to paint my nails.

I grew up in greater Seattle area and obtained my Bachelor's of Science at UW in research of Medicinal Chemistry (Go Dawgs!), and then moved down to Orange County, California to pursue my PhD in Biotechnology and Pharmaceutics! Yes, a little different than nails, but my background in chemistry provides me the knowledge to use products that prevent common allergies from nail supplies!

As of right now, I enjoy using my free time to create magic in the form of nail art. My goal for Klawz by Kona is to spread excitement in the form of press-on nails as I've enjoyed for so much of my own life.

Truly, there is nothing that compares to the thrill of having a new set of nails that you can stare and fascinate at for hours!

why you should buy press-ons

they're pretty

No, seriously, some of the designs you can get on a set of press-ons are incredibly more intricate than that at a salon, and are way more time efficient. The angles in which the paint brush can lay on the press-on nail make it easier to have higher detailed artwork!

For example, check out the hand-painted roses of this custom set I did. It would take 4x the time to do this on a real hand!

they're resuable

There are two ways to apply press-on nails: nail glue and sticky tabs. Both are reusable methods!

Sticky tabs are just like stickers and allow the fake nail tip to adhere to your nail in a less permanent fashion.

Nail glue is more permanent, and can leave some residue, but that is nothing a file can't take away and prep the set for the next use!
